I arrived in Istanbul on a late Saturday afternoon. My hotel was a few steps away from the Taksim Square (but very reasonably priced) so I had time to walk around in my spare time. This İstiklal Caddesi is the most famous avenue in Istanbul which stretches three kilometres from Taksim. It is also the place where demonstrations take place. Selfridges is not located there but looks like it has everything else and is so lively. Just by looking into the shop windows, you can spend your time there. Arrays around this main street is full of restaurants and bars. The night seems endless and İstiklal Caddesi always bustling.
